The Berkshire District Attorney’s office, in collaboration with the United States Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Massachusetts State Police, North Adams Public Schools and Northern Berkshire Community Coalition invites you to a Project Safe Childhood Keeping Kids Safe and Secure Online evening internet safety presentation for parents.  Details are below.  Please feel free to share the attached flyer as well.

The presentation will include:  Being safe and secure online, social media 101, digital footprint, gaming, cyberbullying, sexting, sextortion, protecting against online predation.

 Project Safe Childhood is a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.  Led by the U.S. Attorneys' Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
